Role Purpose
The Central Government team is responsible for Leadership in Microsoft Technology into central government departments and agencies and ensuring we delight our customers and help them use our technology to improve productivity, efficiency and save them money. This role focuses on advising and selling into some of our largest central government customers so this is a critical role in the central government team. The primary function of the role is to generate revenue for Microsoft solutions and services from your customers as well as delight our customers through exciting innovation and transformation to help support their challenging objectives and priorities.

Key Accountabilities
Deliver measureable customer success
Secure trusted partner status with customers and partners.
Secure and maintain customer commitment to the Microsoft platform
Growing total licence revenue year on year through Microsoft licensing, Microsoft Consulting Services, cloud and devices.
Creation and identification of new opportunities within the account
Winning and scaling industry solutions based on Microsoft technologies
Driving industry solutions with Microsoft Consulting Services and partners in order to demonstrate Microsoft’s continued relevance as a strategic partner to its customers
Leading the engagement of Microsoft resources within your customers through orchestration of the virtual team which may include other Microsoft public sector resources, partners, marketing, services, specialist sales and the regional worldwide industry teams.
Timely and accurate completion of essential reporting, profiling and general administration.
Personal contribution to the success of the public sector team in the South Africa. A spokesperson on industry themes, delivering presentations at internal external events and supporting cross company initiatives and projects.
Key Success Criteria
The successful candidate will be:
A successful IT professional with a proven track record of success with strong experience of new business development and an amazing rapport with internal or external customers
An orchestrator capable of motivating and leading internal and external resources towards common big bold goals – able to bring to life Microsoft Worldwide programs within your customers.
A creative thinker with the ability to translate strategic ideas into a strong, realistic account action plan
A passionate communicator, able to deliver powerful, succinct and convincing presentations to large (100+) and small audiences
Able to represent Microsoft in industry forums and boards speaking meaningfully on technology, education, government and Microsoft National Plan Corporate affairs initiatives
Able to articulate and be passionate about business value of Microsoft technology at all levels and hold their own in technical conversations with customers in both technical and managerial roles
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential Experience
Experience of engaging and influencing at all levels within an organisation
Great presenting and communication skills
Solid track record in over-achieving sales targets and building pipeline
Excellent relationship building skills at all levels, both externally and internally
A passion for technology and how it can have a positive impact across business learning
Desirable Experience
Experience of working with public sector customers
