Assist with implementation of the NSP performance plan as approved and report as required on implementation issues. Assist managers within the NSP unit with project management as required
Provide technical support to stakeholders and team members as required
Determine and prepare appropriate research, monitoring and evaluation tools as required
Conduct, analyse and present outcomes of primary and secondary research as required
Prepare, write and edit programme reports, case studies, business studies, and policy documents.
Assist with presentation of programme documents
Support the knowledge management of young women and girls and sex worker programmes within the larger SANAC structure
Work with multiple stakeholders to develop and maintain key relationships
Work closely with the other staff within the NSP Implementation unit and other SANAC units to ensure seamless multi-directional flow of information between the various SANAC structures and internal arrangements
Represent SANAC at meetings upon request
Support the preparation of supporting documentation for meetings as required
Prepare communication materials including letters, invitations and PowerPoint presentations
Coordinate the logistical arrangements for provincial DREAMS workshops and meetings
Provide support to the broader NSP Implementation and the CEO as requested
Manage the diary of the Executive Manager and develop a meeting plan and resolves diary clashes.
Monitor and analyse the issues from the meetings and workshops – the implementation of the NSP
Takes minutes and notes in workshops; training and meetings organised by the programmes, PCAs and TWGs
Coordinate the production and dissemination of material to be used at various meetings. Prepare submissions and reports to governments, PCAs, TWGs, PRC and Plenary
Organise meetings, conference calls, etc., involving NSP unit; coordinate all the logistics; manage and handle suppliers and manage stakeholders
Attend meetings and prepare and distribute subsequent records and meeting minutes
Drafting of project reports,
Preparing estimates for budgeted activities,
Monitoring budgets and expenditure,
Undertaking monitoring and evaluation tasks
Take on other administrative tasks as assigned by the Executive Manager
Qualifications, experience and skills:
A Master’s degree in Public Health or related field
1-2 years qualitative and quantitative research and ME experience within the field of HIV
First-hand experience of working at the community level with social and development programmes, in the health sector
Extensive up-to-date knowledge of HIV and the South African response to the HIV epidemicAbility to handle confidential information
Ability to engage with stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner
Good telephone etiquette
High level of proficiency in speaking and writing in English for peer reviewed journals and other publications
Be fluent in at least one South African language besides English
Ability to travel as and when required
This is performance-based contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
