Main Functions:
• Providing direct support to the Sales Team in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers to ensure that the branch is able to meet its sales and growth targets.
• Achieving team and individual sales targets as set by the Sales Manager within the agreed time scale.
• Providing an exceptional level of service to prospective customers including greeting walk in customer on the counter and telephonically.
• Assisting customers in understanding our products range and offer a variety of product related solutions to fit their needs, whilst generating sales and continuing to achieve sales targets.
• Answering all incoming customer calls in a professional and efficient manner.
• Maximising sales by continually expanding orders and up selling on all incoming and outgoing calls.
• Conducting follow up calls on a daily basis regarding quotations sent to customers who have expressed an interest in our products and respond to customer emails in a professional manner.
• Receiving and processing sales orders in an efficient and accurate manner, as well as providing order status updates to customers.
• Receiving payments, writing receipts and deposits money received into company bank account.
• Issuing and receiving of stock, sorts and files records.
• Liaise between stores, inventory, procurement and customers to efficiently answer general enquiries concerning deliveries.
• Ensure that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion. Where relevant, escalate matters to the Ops Risk Manager and log them into ISO.
• Liaise on a daily basis with your colleagues and update them on any developments in your work, ensuring a high level of team relationships exist.
• Ensure that the external sales team are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts by collecting and reporting post sales customer information and issues.
Requirements:
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Matric Certificate.
• One to three years experience in the security industry.
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be computer literate.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Proven sales track record essential.
• Strong customer service background and experience
• Sound knowledge of the security electronics or equipment is essential.
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Experience of building relationships with customers is essential.
• Able to provide evidence of working in a target related environment.
• Can demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations.
• Excellent telephone manner.
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Good reasoning ability.
• Good mathematical/Accounting skills.
• Syspro knowledge will be an advantage.
• Reliable transport to travel to and from work will be an advantage.
• Driver license an advantage.
