Responsible for leading and managing the Human Capital Management (HCM) division, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment of all human capital functions with the company’s business plan and objectives. The HCM portfolio includes ensuring the development and deployment of HR strategies, the driving of the leadership learning business plans to execution, enabling organisational change initiatives and overseeing achievement of key talent sourcing management targets.
HR Strategy and Business Plan
? Develop, implement and drive a human capital strategy that elevates HR from administrative activity to a pathway that facilitates achievement of the overall company strategy and business plan objectives
? Build strategic relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment between corporate and BU talent strategies and initiatives
? Design proactive and innovative human capital management strategies in anticipation of future people and business requirements
? Ensure effective implementation of policies, systems and processes that drive talent acquisition, on boarding, talent management, learning and development, leadership development, career development and culture shaping initiatives within the group
? Ensure the effective use of quantitative and qualitative data to monitor human capital risks and make the adjustments necessary to address those gaps
? Ensure that training and development is aligned to the transformation plan and position the function to maximise our BBBEE rating in conjunction with CSR
? Ensure compilation and submission of workplace skills development plans and training audit reports to the SETA so as to maximise skills development grants
? Ensure the development and implementation of OD strategies in support of business transformation and optimisation initiatives
? Ensure the development and execution of key organisational and culture reshaping initiatives across the business
? Ensure regular benchmarking and research aimed at guaranteeing best in class HCM strategies and processes
? Ensure the development of metrics to assess the effectiveness of HCM strategies
? Collaboration with BBBEE scorecard owner in CSR
Governance and Risk Management
? Ensure that appropriate governance systems are in place and in line with future requirements, i.e. policies, procedures and reporting structures
? Develop and implement Service Level Agreements for the function as well as with Key Suppliers
? Ensure the development, planning, and implementation of HCM policies and procedures that are in compliance with relevant legislation and the rules and regulations of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
People Management
? Ensure the development and implementation of effective staffing and on-boarding strategies, policies and processes
Accountable for ensuring the development and implementation of strategies, policies and processes aimed at ensuring the firm has a continuous supply of the talent required to deliver business results
? Ensure strategies and processes that allow for the firm to retain and leverage on top talent
? Ensure that mission critical roles are identified and that talent/succession pipelines that ensure continuity are built
? Ensure regular and repeated calibration of talent so as to identify talent gaps and strategies to address and design framework to evaluate talent
? Set up and lead the forums required to drive the talent agenda with the leadership team
? Ensure the identification, development and fast tracking of high potential talent
? Ensure the implementation of effective career pathing and career development initiatives
? Ensure implementation of effective, results-driven learning and development strategies, practices and processes that are aligned to the overall HCM strategy
? Take ownership of the skills development philosophy of the business and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure focussed talent development interventions including graduate development, learnerships and internship programmes.
Stakeholder Management
? Responsible for designing a company specific, coherent framework of human capital policies, programs and practices with full functional involvement and buy in from EXCO and the Board.
? Serve as a strategic advisor to EXCO on all Human Capital Management matters
? Ensure implementation of the strategic workforce and cost analysis process to inform design and development of structures companywide and provide regular input to CEOs/MDs on structural alignment issues and problem areas
? Work closely with divisional leadership across the Group to address strategic HR capacity building and capability issues.
? Build and manage strategic relationship working with outsourced providers of outsourced OD support
Leadership
? Provide leadership and direction to the Human Capital Management team that is aligned with the culture and values
? Establish an enabling work environment and culture for optimum staff performance
? Manage the performance, productivity, development and wellbeing of the Human Capital Management team
? Implement performance measures and incentives
? Facilitate synergy and co-ordination between the areas of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, HR Strategy, and OD
Financial
Compile and manage the overall Human Capital Management budget in a cost efficient and responsible manner.
Post graduate degree (NQF level 8) in HR or related disciplines. A business qualification (e.g. MBA) will be an added advantage.
10 years of relevant experience in HR, of which at least 3 should have been at an Executive leadership level
Registration with the HPCSA and or the SABPP or other relevant boards will be an added advantage.
