Right to Care has an Adherence Coordinator vacancy in its Chronic adherence club programme and encourages suitably qualified candidates to apply.
Position: A dherence Programme Coordinator
Location: Free State: Thabo Mofutsanyane
Reporting to: Provincial Programme Manager
Contract: Permanent
Qualifications and Experience required:
Tertiary qualification (Degree) in a health related field or social sciences.
3 years’ experience in a health or related field
Experience to management of health and social programmes
A course in HIV Management will be an added advantage
A certificate in project management or a good understanding of project management
Knowledge of national priorities as well as existing programmes within DoH e.g. ICDM and WBOT (ward-based outreach teams).
Other Competencies Required:
Attention to detail, logical and analytical thinker
Proactive and innovative, able to work independently and have presentation/facilitation skills
Key Performance Areas amongst others include:
Coordinate the roll-out and implementation of facility based chronic adherence club programme; in order for the programme to meet the expected outcomes
Ensure overall coordination of all the required chronic adherence club sessions at all supported facilities; and ensure that logistics and resources required for the sessions are in place.
Provide guidance and support to chronic adherence facilitators in planning and implementing activities; and in monitoring and reporting of programme activities
Provide capacity building support to chronic adherence facilitators
Measure and share programmatic progress and achievements of the chronic adherence club programme in order to ensure accountability, facilitate planning and strengthen service delivery
Technical skills and behavioral competencies:
Understanding of provincial and district health systems as they relate to the South African government HIV/AIDS, and TB services.
Computer literacy
Presentation/facilitation skills
Willing to travel regularly within South Africa, including overnight travel at times
Must have valid driver’s license. Own car is highly preferable
