role:
The
procurement and overall strategic category plans and execution of strategic
sourcing activity through structured data gathering and management process
across project services, mining production, processing and transport, or
support services and equipment.

Perform strategic category plans
planning and execution through facilitating the establishment of
·
category execution management policy
and procedures
·
Effective site level end-user and
supplier relationship management
·
Implementation and monitoring of
supplier agreements
Requirements:
·
Degree in Commerce or Engineering (NQF
Level 7)
·
AA plc Safety Course: A3
·
Post graduate degree in relevant field
(eg Commerce or engineering) (NQF Level 8) would be advantageous
·
Membership to a relevant professional
body would be advantageous
·
Advanced Management Program would be
advantageous
·
Extensive experience in procurement, contracts
supplier management function
·
Experience with large multi-functional
and complex multi-site organisations
·
Proven ability to build long term
internal external business relationships
·
Experience of complex engineering and
production environments and knowledge of process management
·
Exposure to mining or asset-intensive
environments would be advantageous
·
Knowledge of Anglo Coal South Africa
Operational and Supply Codes of Practices, policies and procedures
·
Knowledge of procurement processes and
techniques
·
Understanding of relevant safety and
mining legislation including: The Mine Health and Safety Act and Minerals and
Energy
Act
·
Sound knowledge of the BBBEE Code of
Good Practice and Mining Charter
·
Knowledge of procurement systems such
as procurement management system, contracts management system and
benefits
trading system
·
Understanding of strategic sourcing
techniques and TCO analysis.
·
Expert knowledge of all Supply Chain
processes and associated business systems including eSourcing, Requisition
to Pay,
eRFx, eAuction, contract management and spend analysis
·
Knowledge of mining industry’s inherent
processes and critical areas for success
·
Knowledge of analytical processes and
statistical analysis
·
Sound understanding of both Anglo Coal
South Africa and the operational visions and mission
·
In depth knowledge of contracts
management and administration
·
Computer Literacy (MS Office)
·
Valid Driver’s license
