Position : Human Resources Manager

Salary: R 40 000.00 to R 50 000.00 depending on experience
A: Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and self-driven HR Manager who will be responsible to provide comprehensive and generalist HR services and support for a group of companies.
B: Responsibilities:
1) Development and execution of an effective HR strategy:
Develop HR strategies in line with industry and best practices and ensure they are effectively implemented in the relevant businesses.
Together with Finance, ensure that a BEE strategy is in place annually to ensure that the highest possible rating is achieved at time of verification.
2) Effective Recruitment:
Ensure that quality candidates are sought for open vacancies within the business and that an effective talent pool per position is in place to minimize the turnaround time on placements.
3) Effective Employee Relations:
Manage all Industrial Relations processes with relation to performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Build competence of senior managers regarding Industrial Relations processes
Ensure that staff Climate Surveys are conducted, trends are identified and fed into the relevant HR Strategies for implementation.
Ensure that relevant communication structures are established and that all feedback and communication structures in the business are managed effectively.
Coordinate and manage quarterly and monthly teambuilding for staff.
Drive EE and Skills Committees and ensure compliance to relevant legislation.
Coordinate and manage annual Wellness Days and Year End Functions
4) Maintenance of sound, measurable Performance Management System:
Ensure that all performance management systems are managed and aligned to best practice.
Develop and Implement 360 degree feedback structures.
Manage annual and bi-annual bonus and increase cycles and related administration.
5) Effective Training, Development, Career Pathing and Succession Planning:
Management of the mentorship programme for identified talent in the business.
Management of Learnerships in line with SETA and BEE requirements.
Oversee the management of all training plans in the business and align to SETA required information.
Manage relationships with the relevant SETA.
Develop relevant and effective induction programs and conduct induction training for new starters.
6) Effective Administration, Reporting and HR Payroll Management:
Ensure that all payroll input has been actioned accurately and timeously.
Provide the relevant monthly and annual Exco reporting and analysis.
Compile and submit annual Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports to SETA.
Compile and submit all annual Employment Equity reporting.
Compile and submit all BEE verification information.
Ensure that all leave is being actioned appropriately.
7) Effective management of employee benefits and Health and Safety for the group:
Oversee and manage all the employee benefits for the company.
Ensure full compliance to legislation in terms of all Health and Safety requirements for the Group.
8) Effective HR project management:
Conceptualise and implement HR projects in line with strategy and implement.
9) Effective financial management:
Set annual HR budgets and manage monthly PL’s.
10) Sound relationships with key internal and external stakeholders:
Build and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders to facilitate organisational effectiveness
11) Effective team leadership:
Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, managing their performance in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives.
C: Education and Experience:
1. Matric
2. Relevant HR related degree. A prost graduate degree would be advantageous
3. 5 to 8 years generalist HR experience with at least 3 years in a Managerial role
4. Full knowledge of relevant SA legislation
5. Working knowledge of VIP Premier and ESS
