Job description
1. Responsible for radio network planning optimisation in Southeast Africa regional countries. Travel to neighbouring countries may be required from time to time
2. Responsible for project rollout with regard to radio survey and design before RF installation.
3. Responsible for meeting and exceeding customer KPI and quality targets
4. Technical support for radio network planning optimization. Support local and regional projects and customers
5. Preparation of proposals in tender responses
6. Perform drive testing, and analysis of drive test data. Determine and implement required changes and improvements based on optimization data
7. Compile data, KPI, routine technical reports for internal use and customer reporting
8. Act as a high level technical interface to Huawei customers
9. Work with marketing and sales departments to assist with any possible sales opportunities
10. Provide on-site training to customers and act as a mentor and leader for other staff
11. Plan and project manage RNOP for any new project rollouts and maintenance tasks
Experience
1. Minimum of 5 years experience in radio network planning and design.
2. Expert knowledge of at least one of either GSM/CDMA/3G/WiMax system.
3. Expert knowledge of signal flow and protocol analysis.
4. Good knowledge of peripheral interfaces to wireless networks such as core network, transmission networks etc.
5. Expert ability in coverage planning, traffic planning and network emulation.
6. Expert ability in radio network quality analysis and network optimization.
7. Skilled with various radio network planning software and tools such as Planet, ASSET, Atoll, TCP, TEMS and NEMO etc
Qualification
1. BSC Eng degree, BTECH Degree or at least an S4 level Diploma
