Coordinator: Logistics 1 – Sasol

The purpose of the role is to (plan Monitor) all activities relating to vehicle scheduling and movement control as part of the facilities management business process within Site Logistics This includes liaison with the SBU (DPR LCC), Transnet Freight Rail, and services providers. The incumbent is responsible for Budgeting Planning of all loading/drumming activities on yearly, monthly, weekly, daily planning and monitoring performance (ATOS).

Implement defined strategic frameworks, policies and guidelines

Conform to SC KPA’s for the Site Logistics

Identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities of vehicle movement and slot booking system

Through measurement, benchmarking and implementation of gap closure plans

Ensure compliance to all legal requirements, business rules, policies and internal controls as well as reviews and updates

Number of non-conformances

Conformance, loaded volumes W/B figures, versus ordered volumes/weights

Contribute to the design, implementation and improvement of transactional (planning and execution systems), performance measurement, data analysis

Accurate reportingand trend analysis.

Tactical i.e. those activities that put the strategy/-business plan into effect

Direct supportive activities to limit costs; improve accuracy, customer service, and safety

Identify opportunities for debottlenecking outbound logistics facilities

Basic business support to Loading Opeerations

Proficient presentations, written communication.
