Mission description
This position requires an experienced and skilled incumbent, capable of communicating concisely and logically on all security related issues, both verbally and in writing. Responsible for monitoring the security operations for the Gauteng Region and implementing security policies, regulations, rules and norms and to ensure a safe environment for employers and visitors.

Profile
• Conduct and maintain an accurate threat assessment of the sites, ensuring that Management are current with the threats posed against BL in the Gauteng Region.

• Deliver security support products including threat assessments, site security plans, staff training and security contracts.

• Ensure appropriate security awareness training sessions for all staff.

• Ensure that expats are briefed on current security matters upon arrival.

• Monitor all business travel into and around SA.

• Maintain an active security network with other multi-national companies, Private Security Companies, Police and relevant Government authorities in the Gauteng Region.

• Establish and manage all contractual agreements with Private Security Companies in the Gauteng Region.

• Complete quality assurance and quality control measures for all contracts with Private Security Companies.

• Support crisis response management as appropriate.

• Train and support those who manage security locally.

• Advise relevant parties of any changes in the SA security environment that may impact BL operations.

• Ensure the security of all buildings and warehouse facilities on each site.

• Ensure security policy is updated, obtaining approval from Management Committee.

• Handle quotes and tenders and budgets.

• Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager.

• Investigations reporting.

• Liaison with Paris Head Office.

• African liaison regarding security in various countries – follow up on security events.

• Form positive relations with the key staff in BL.

• Produce Site Security Plans for all BL sites in your area of responsibility.

• Gain and maintain an accurate understanding of the threat picture in the SA and how such threats could impact BL.

• Deliver BL products as required by project timelines.
