based at Parow Distribution Centre.
The successful incumbent will report to the Territory Sales Manager
.
Purpose of the Position:
To grow, maintain and promote Distell Brands in area of responsibility
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
- Your Strategic and Financial Focus will be to achieve set volume and gross income targets for your on and off-trade territory in Stellenbosch and surrounding areas
- To achieve Operational Results by executing sales processes and the application of the 4A’s (Accessibility, Availability, Affordability and Activation )
- Achieve Call adherence measures
- Achieved required customer visit call hit rate
- To focus on Customer and Relationship results by determining customer needs
- Leading yourself effectively, achieve performance goals and live the company values
- Providing timeous feedback to team and internal customers on areas for improvement on efficiencies, competition activities or any burning issue requiring quick solutions
- Grow market share in line with territory targets
- Building of long term customer/consumer relationships internally and externally
- Responsible control of company assets
- Control and correct use of ROI and POS material
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications/experience/skills:
A formal tertiary qualification in Sales and/or Marketing
2 – 3 years sales experience
A valid drivers license – Code 08 without endorsements
Fully functional computer / tablet / smartphone skills
Understand and execute the Sales processes
Strong financial/business acumen
Good product knowledge across all segments – Wine, Spirit and RTDs
Strong negotiating and influencing skills
Flexible and able to operate in a diverse market
Must have the ability to develop customer relationships
Be a self-starter/self-motivator and take accountability for actions
Must be able to identify opportunities for improvement and change
A high level of energy as the position involves working a flexible 44 hours, including some evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
