Permanent Part Time Position
Monday to Friday Mornings
40 hours per fortnight
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to fill a permanent/part time RCW position. The position is currently rostered Monday to Friday mornings. A total of 40 hours per fortnight or 4 hours daily. There may be a need to work extra hours through our Day Service’s holiday periods. You will be required to support our residents who have varying degrees of intellectual and physical disabilities, some with complex care, with all their activities of daily living and to facilitate community access and social activities. A proven ability to deal with challenging behaviours and to work autonomously with minimum supervision is desirable.
Must be eligible to live and work in Australia as we do not offer sponsorships.
ESSENTIAL:
Current First Aid Certificate
Current Australian Drivers’ Licence
Willingness to drive the Inala buses
Understanding of WHS, Disability Services Act and Disability Standards
Good communication skills (both written verbal)
Certificate III in Disability
Previous RCW experience required
DESIRABLE: Certificate 4 in Disability Care ( or working towards one).
