Position Purpose :
To provide well maintained Mechanical Infrastructure Equipment for the safe and efficient operation of the Port.
Position outputs :
Technical Support and Consultation: Provision of Engineering expertise services to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintained Assets/Equipment: The effective management of assets, over their full lifecycle, resulting in the most optimal
cost effective utilization of assets for the Organization.
Project Planning: Identifying needs, developing conceptual plans cost estimates for approval.
Project Management: Management of projects to ensure delivery in terms of project requirements
Financial Control Budget: Maintenance of proper financial controls management of capital and operational expenditure.
Ensure legal compliance of electro – mechanical infrastructure in accordance with OHS act and SANS Codes of Practice

ECSA Registration as Lifting Machinery Inspector

Knowledge of safety codes, NOSA and Act 85.
