The successful candidate, reporting to the Group Manager: Governance and Resilience will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery plans and Business Continuity provision;
- Ensure that all systems have business continuity plan in place, ensuring that processes and procedures are available in a disaster situation;
- Manage the overall Business Continuity Planning /Disaster Recovery(BCP/DR) testing process as well as report results to the business and senior IT management;
- Work with the development, service introduction and testing teams to produce the BCP/ DR operational acceptance criteria;
- Liaise with infrastructure architects and service owners to ensure internal business continuity procedures are implemented and are aligned with expectations of ACSA;
- Complete operational risk assessments and escalate key issues (where necessary);
- Audit the day-to-day service continuity provision to ensure it is fit for purpose;
- Ensure all critical IT services are maintained and available to business nationwide and effective failovers are in place;
- Monitor adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, policies and procedures.
Technical Skills and Experience:
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required
- Relevant Bachelors Degree;
- Specialized skills in business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, risk analysis and problem resolution;
- 6 years operational experience in business continuity planning recovery and disaster recovery
- Working Knowledge of the Aviation / Transport and/or Airports industries as well as Technology Trends and an appreciation of the dynamics of the public sector;
- Code B; Motor vehicle license.
