Online Quality Control Inspections
Check the quality of the products on the line if they are as per customer specification
Report immediately to Quality Manager any breakdowns on the equipment
Take temperatures on the line
Check product weights if they are as per customer specification
Conduct trials from time to time
Minimum rejects on the line
Make sure that the final product is as per the customer specification
Less customer complaints
Raise job cards immediately and give to maintenance. Do a follow up to ensure the job card raised is attended to and job card is closed off with maintenance. Quality Manager is also informed
Sort out the problem if possible or if not inform Quality Manager immediately
Ensure availability of scales where necessary and that they are in good working condition
Provide report on trials within 24 hours

Hygiene Inspections and Verification of equipment
Perform Daily Start Up Checks
Perform daily Post Ops Checks
Conduct Handover inspections from the cleaning company
Conduct Thermometer and Temperature Logger verification checks
Daily Check sheets are published on time.

Conduct Staff Training
Inspections:
Receiving of Raw Material, Ingredients and Packaging
Dispatch of final product
Train staff as per agreed schedule
Get the plan from the relevant department daily to ensure that loading or receiving slots are not missed
Responsible for training of staff and ensuring that staff are adhering to the company’s policies procedures.
Be at the required areas on time

Manage and Plan
Manage all QC Assistants
Make arrangements if there’s staff absent
Submit leave forms to the Quality Manager the day of request for manager approval.
Inform Quality Manager to assist with necessary resources where necessary. Or communicate with Quality manager on shift changes to manage the situation.
5.
Completion of documents
Complete all quality and food safety related records
Submit all documents at end of shift to the Quality Supervisor for traceability purposes. Ensure that all documents are taken to the Quality Manager the next day at 10:00
6.

Adhoc tasks and instructions
All adhoc tasks and instructions are completed within the given timeline.
6 months internship
Must be Computer Literate
Knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety is advantageous.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing plant which is HACCP/ISO or FSSC 22 000 is advantageous
Previous experience in a meat industry is advantageous None
