We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Fundraising volunteer to develop and implement a fundraising strategy for MEWC. You will be required to complete and submit professional bids along with researching new fundraising avenues. Job Description
- To apply for grants from Trusts and Foundations, Governments
- Develop MEWC’s social media presence as a fundraising tool
- Able to write compelling content for a range of audiences
- Develop and implement a successful trust and statutory fundraising strategy
- To proactively contact potential funders through writing letters of inquiry and proposals and establishing telephone and email contact as appropriate.
- Research and develop new and innovative fundraising ideas.
- To develop relationships externally to identify and nurture potential funding sources.
- Set realistic but ambitious fundraising targets for specific operations within the charity
- Generate increased income from new sources including local, regional, national and international sources
- Identify and research potential fundraising opportunities
- Work with MEWC team to develop proposals for projects that could attract new funding
Experience
- A proven track record achieving targets in securing funding from charitable trusts, foundations, companies and other funding sources.
- Experience of designing and implementing a strategy to raise funds from charitable trusts, foundations, companies and other funding sources.
- An ability to build and maintain successful relationships with funders, and research and approach trusts and similar organisations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail when handling information.
- Strong inter-personal and relationship building skills.
This internship is unpaid and home-based (which makes it quite flexible as you can work from anywhere around the world). The position requires a commitment of a minimum of 16 hours per week, at least 2 full days a week.
