Position based in Germiston. A vacancy exists for a National Channel Manager based at Germiston, reporting to the Head of Light Industries. The purpose of the job is to contribute to the success of the company by managing and coordinating the implementation of the company Channel Strategy to achieve national sales growth objectives and minimize risks to Channel performance. Minimum Requirements…
The successful candidate will be
possession of B.Com or MBA with 5 to 10 years multi-channel
and sales management experience with
National or Regional responsibility. T he ability to interface with peers,
be a team player with sound interpersonal skills and having the ability to
conceptualise would be advantageous. Financial
presentation communication skills, project management skills and
negotiation skills will also be advantageous. Sound analytical, conceptual and
problem solving skills, the ability to deal with complex problems and the
ability to think systematically are required for this position. Business acumen, change leadership,
decision making project execution being further competencies required for this
position .

• Develop a strong customer centric culture
amongst all sales personnel.
• Maximize channel performance
through the review of the geographical product, customer and channel footprint.
• M anage Safety, Health, Environmental and
Quality issues applicable to the sales force (including accident prevention,
investigation and resolution, customer and customer site safety and
participation in all company SHEQ programmes).
• Identify and implement corrective
actions that will positively influence Channel KPI’s.
• M anage the sales force to ensure their
empowerment to service the customer effectively, in accordance with HR policies
and procedures, (including performance management, training, coaching,
mentoring staff, recruitment and retention of talented staff.
• Develop / coordinating the
implementation of product and pricing strategy across channels.
• Manage a team of Regional Account
managers across South Africa who supports their respective Account managers and
Velox sales representatives.
• Manage and achieve set Sales, Volume and
Gross Margin targets and objectives.
• Managing and coordinating the
implementation of Afrox channel strategy.
• Closely support the marketing initiatives
and market developments goals for Light Industries.
• Developing BCP and BOP for channel
management .
