Position Purpose :
To provide and manage a comprehensive and professional Employee Wellness service to all TNPA employees and their
immediate partners, thereby contributing to an increase in productivity, improvement in psycho-social functioning and
quality-of-life. To provide and manage an integrated Employee Wellness and HIV/AIDS support services.
Position outputs :
Implement TNPA Cape Town Wellness Strategy, ensuring alignment with TNPA and Transnet strategy, initiatives and
targets.
Analyse the Port Absenteeism Management report; facilitate the implementation of interventions aimed at reducing and
eliminating the impact of eminent risks.
Implement the Risk Pool processes.
Conduct Wellness Risk assessment; Develop Top 10 Risk Register; and mitigate the risks.
Create and implement awareness and educational programmes.

Develop, implement and evaluate all EAP strategic interventions and HIV/AIDS management, i.e. awareness, testing and
counselling campaigns.
Provide or refer for counselling, medical and rehabilitative interventions.
To assist Port of Cape Town to achieve optimum productivity of employees through motivation, problem identification and
solving, assessments, timeous intervention and support services.
Develop, implement and maintain systems-AMS 16001 for the Port of Cape Town for quality certification purposes.
Analyse trends, statistics and reports; implement appropriate interventions; and report on all employee wellness initiatives.
Chair monthly Employee Wellness Committees; attend RISKCO: LBC and other consultative structures.
Provide Regional Support to Lighthouses, Mossel Bay and Saldanha.
Qualifications Experience :
Tertiary Qualifications
•B Degree or NQF equivalent in Social Work/Industrial or Clinical Psychology/EAP or relevant field
