DStv Media Sales (DMS) seeks to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated candidate
,
to assume responsibility as a
Media Strategist – Africa
to maximize sales across the M-Net, SuperSport and DStv
Channels.
The incumbent will report to the GM: Research Insights, and be based at our offices in Randburg.

Services and information which the individual must provide to external individuals or groups, or one another to accomplish the organizations mission and strategy.
Media Strategists enable their clients to maximize the impact of their advertising campaigns through the use of M-Net, SuperSport and DStv. In order to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible, combine creative thinking with factual analysis to develop appropriate plans. They apply knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate channels for building awareness of a client’s brand.

Formulate and develop comprehensive analyses and go to market presentations that display strategic insights and recommendations to clients
·
working with the client and/or the sales team to understand a client’s business objectives and advertising strategy;
·
making decisions on the best channels/programs for specific clients and campaigns;
·
applying detailed knowledge of channels/programs on the bouquet;
·
thinking creatively about ways to represent particular clients;
·
undertaking research using specialist industry resources;
·
packaging and rate setting
·
researching and analyzing data to translate into quantifiable plans;
·
meeting client/campaign objectives which have been set;
·
analyzing post campaigns, quantify results
COMPETENCIES

A sound understanding of the TV industry and media landscape in Sub Sahara Africa

Existing Ad Industry relationships and the proven ability to build productive
