Employee Relations Intern (Isando)
We are calling all Graduates! If you are interested in pursuing a career in HR within the employee relations space, then this is your opportunity! This position will play a support role to the group ER practice team, a centre of excellence within TFG HR.
Introduction
Support to the ER team to ensure that ER activities matters are administered efficiently according to company and legislative standards.
Key performance areas:
• ER Reporting
• Administrative support to ER team
• Adherence to legislation and code of conduct Principles
• ER practices in line with best practice
• Guidance and advice are provided with respect to regional IR issues to ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation and agreements, as well as company practice
• Assist with preparation and representation at conciliation, pre-arbitration and less ER cases
• Assist with the monitoring of application of IR processes and appropriate steps taken to ensure consistency and promote sound employee relations
• Assist with compiling and storing ER records in a manner which ensures confidentiality and integrity
• In relation to CCMA cases, ER Learner will assist the ER Specialist with the preparation for the case and its presentation at the CCMA in consultation with the relevant line manager and ER Manager
You should have:
- High attention to detail
- Strong ethics and values
- Intermediate MS office suite
- Strong communication skills verbal and written
Education and experience:
- An Human Resources tertiary qualification or similar
- At least 1-2 years experience in an HR function or similar role
- Valid driver’s licence
Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
