The role of the intern is to adhere to all programs and guidelines set out during the internship in order to gain practical experience related to their qualifications and career aspirations. The Supply Chain Intern will receive an introduction to the following departments: 1. Warehousing and Distribution 2. Demand Planning 3. Inventory Management 4. Procurement 5. Exports 6. Special Projects e.g. WMS, Master Data Review, TPN distributionDepending on specific assignments, practical experience will be gained in varying degrees in eachdepartment. The interns duties by assignment will include but not be limited to the KPA’s listed below: Perform general administrative tasks related to the Supply Chain department. Gather data related to specific assignments, prepare the data for analysis and perform analysis as directed by the relevant supervisor. Conduct process assessments for the purposes of learning and optimisation. Prepare reports or presentations related to specific assignments Gain experience by presenting the above reports or presentations Job shadows assigned personnel Gain practical experience by performing the assigned roles Deliver and be involved in specific projects as defined by the Head of Supply Chain Education: Formal Qualifications Undergraduate diploma / degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
