Basic qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering
Job Purpose:
To maintain machinery and plant regularly to ensure maximum production.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Maintains and repair all electrical equipment .
1.1 Replaces or repairs old, worn and dangerous parts and apparatus.
1.2 Electrically services equipment on a regular basis.
1.3 Checks safety of electrical apparatus.
2. Assists Electricians and Utilities technician.
2.1 Installs and connects sockets, lights, plugs, computer cables and electrical services into rooms and offices as required.
2.2 Records stock of electrical spares.
2.3 Requisitions spares and equipment from outside suppliers.
2.4 Ensures that surroundings and equipment are clean in accordance with G.M.P standards.
2.5 Performs tasks as delegated to him.
3. Contributes to efficiency of other departments .
3.1 Ensures electrical setting and adjusts machines when necessary.
3.2 Consults with Department Managers regarding machine problems.
3.3 Completes fault finding on packaging and manufacturing equipment.
3.4 Performs tasks as detailed on the planned maintenance system.
3.5 Attends meetings in different value streams
3.6 Completes logbooks and various other training programs supplied by GSK
