Skills Development Coordinator – General Electric

Role Summary:

To manage skills transfer programs in alignment with GE skills development strategy . This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Strong Coordination of regulatory Audit requirements for the BBBEE skills development pillar (checklists, soft and hard copies of documents on files etc);
  • Liaise and manage outcomes of third party clients, subcontractors and sourcing providers managing programs / course execution on behalf;
  • Onboarding Offboarding – Structured development curricula for new leaving learners (trainees);
  • Manage all finance processes i.e. raise PO and process all training invoices and monitor status on weekly basis with Finance;
  • Manage external payments through academic institutions for tuition fees, bursaries, transport, accommodation prescribed reading material;
  • Application and management of funding i.e. mandatory and discretionary grants;
  • Lead and compile data for compliance (BBBEE, MINPET, ITF) verification i.e. WSP, ATR, Monthly business reports etc;
  • Registration of Skills, Apprentices Learnerships with MERSETA or relevant SETA’s; and
  • Record keeping Updating of trainee files (e.g. logbooks, Portfolios of Evidence, general documents – CV’s, Qualifications etc)

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources/Training or Social Science
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience within the Learning Development environment
  • Registration as an Skills Development Facilitator
  • Post graduate qualification in the relevant field will be advantageous
  • Certification as a SETA Assessor/Moderator will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (SDA, EEA, BBBEE, LRA and SAQA Act)
  • Must have excellent report writing skills, strong communication analytical skills
