Requirements
A full time speech/language therapist is invited to join our team of speech therapists in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (Singapore). The caseloads will comprise mainly adult patients from range disciplines, including ICU, neuroscience, geriatric, medical and surgical. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work in the home and community settings. The department runs weekly videofluoroscopy and FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Examination of Swallowing) clinics and is actively involved in research and teaching.
Degree is Speech Therapy recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
3 – 5 years of experience preferred
Adult experience and expertise in dyshpagia are welcomed although newly qualified therapists may be considered
Keen interest in patients with the conditions as mentioned above.
Must work well in team consisting of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists and other external parties in the community (for example, home help services, case management services, day rehabilitation centres, etc)
Patient-oriented and dynamic personality.
Highly disciplined and able to manage time effectively.
Knowledge in Mandarin and local dialects will be advantageous.
