Our client in a Financial sector is looking to appoint a Marketing PR and Reputation Management Specialist to be responsible for Marketing Public Relations and Reputation Management for the Fund. Key Performance Areas
Work with the Manager in implementing the approved Company PR, Media and Reputation Management Strategy.
Produce high level accurate, informative and newsworthy press documents at short notice.
Cultivate and maintain a healthy working relationship with print, radio, TV and digital media at all levels (national, provincial, local and community) including editors, journalists and government spokespeople.
Pitch potential story ideas to the media.
Write interview and media briefs.
Disseminate informative press releases, fact sheets, media alerts and Public Service Announcements.
Design PR and publicity tactics to support marketing campaigns.
Organize events including press conference/ briefings, media open days and press tours.
Create media schedules and manage media visits and shoots.
Assist manager in identifying and exploring media partnership opportunities.
Produce media measurement reports.
Utilize social media platforms to advocate and generate positive messages about the Company’s core business.
Manage daily media queries and provide urgent responses.
Work with Media, PR, Marketing and Advertising Agencies in implementing strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
A relevant degree in Marketing, PR, Media Relations, Reputation Management Journalism or Communications @ NQF Level 6 or equivalent.
5 years or more experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Media Relations, Reputation Management and Communications industries.
Exposure to digital PR space would be an added advantage.
Technical and Behavioural competencies required
Articulate and well spoken.
Exceptionally good writing skills (evidence of writing capability will be assessed).
Multilingual.
Extensive knowledge of the Marketing, Media and PR industry.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Have an ability to interact with people at different levels.
Diplomatic and must understand protocol.
