BEE – Country Manager South and Southern Africa for a Global Leading and Specialised Economic Promotion and Business Development Consultancy. R Neg – Vivette O’Connell This position will suit someone who enjoys a client facing role and the challenge of growing the business There is also the opportunity to travel both in the country and outside. Most exciting, the Country Manager is expected to be motivated by becoming a shareholder in the business.

This candidate would require knowledge of the South African economy, business and culture. The successful candidate will possess the highest level of communications and IT Technical Competence, and have a degree in Finance and or marketing .

The role of Country Manger involves a high level of responsibility and self-motivation. Reporting directly to an International Managing Director the main duties of the Country Manager job include:

Meeting the business and financial objectives of the company in the region.

Raising and enhancing the profile of the company in the marketplace.

Daily contact with existing and potential clients.

Promoting new business services and solutions to key client accounts.

Identifying tendering opportunities and preparing client specific proposals.

Organising promotion and communications plans to existing and new clients in the market.

Coordinating client services in the region, such as consultancy, benchmarking and training.

Taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash, compliance and quality targets.

Agreeing annual budgets and producing a detailed annual business operating plan; deliver monthly, quarterly and annual targets for revenue, profits and cash.

Producing business performance reports on a daily, monthly or quarterly basis.

Closely cooperating with the international team, projects and researchers.

To engage, work and deliver on active consulting projects in South and Southern Africa or elsewhere, with strategic and/or operational inputs.

Recruiting and managing staff, including performance monitoring, mentoring and training.

Key Skills and Experience: The Country Manager job demands a broad range of business skills and experience including:

A strong understanding of how government economic development and promotion works.

A successful track record in business development, analysis and consulting built up over at least five years.

Proven general management experience of at least three years.

Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.

High standards of IT competence with computer software programs e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM/Salesforce, cloud computing.

Naturally competent with organisation and networking skills.

An instinct in delivering the highest standards of customer service.

Proven ability to find, motivate and manage staff.

A full clean driving licence.:
The CM will be responsible for building up his/her own local management team.

Post Grad Degree – Master of Business Leadership (MBL) 1 – Annually plus Shareholder incentives, and Travel
