Principal Accountabilities:
- Identifying LD needs within the organisation through skills analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and HR departments
- Participate in the EE and Learning Development Committees
- Conduct company-wide skills analysis and participate in the compilation of WSP and conduct company-wide Skills analysis
- Designing and expanding LD programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual
- Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation, such as Learnerships, Internships and Statutory related programmes
- Considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets and assessing the return on investment
- Developing effective induction programs
- Conducting appraisals
- Devising individual learning plans
- Reviewing training materials for in-house courses and evaluating learning and development programmes
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
- Ensuring that statutory learning requirements are met
- Amending and revising programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
- Helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
- Researching new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and presenting this research – e.g. E-learning

Key requirements include:
- Minimum requirements: 3 Year Diploma/ Degree in Human Resources majoring in LD
- Must be a qualifies Assessor, Moderator and Skills Development Facilitator
- Working knowledge of Construction Seta operations
- Minimum 4 years Supervisory / Junior Management experience preferably in the Construction Industry
- Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office packages
- Thorough knowledge of the Skills Development Act as well as Health Safety Act in South Africa
- Willing to travel within SA boarders and abroad
