To conduct assessment of trader’s self-declaration and/ or physical inspections and state warehouse end to end case management system by applying relevant legislation and acts in order to achieve business objectives.

Process

Be observant and engage on possible violations of procedures and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.

Plan and organise own work tasks within area of work.

Ensure that completed work adhere to relevant policies, procedures, governance and legislative requirements and report on deviations discrepancies.

Be informed on related acts and regulations that might impact on own work.

Keep up to date records of completed work.

Ensure quality of work content, minimise mistakes and continuously improve quality and standards.

Deliver operating results within predefined quality, volume and time standards.

Take accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards and client service targets.

Constantly align own work method to changes in work requirements, procedures, policies, processes, and delivery systems to meet contracted targets.

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and SARS role players to achieve predefined objectives.

Validate the correctness of self-declarations made by traders supporting documents provided in order to determine the correctness of the duty paid.

Conduct physical inspections of goods.

Implement lean and six sigma principle as part of inventory/ logistics management system to monitor and track goods movement in the state warehouse.

Conduct stock taking to account for the goods and disposal process (Auction, Tender, Destruction, and Donation) to contribute towards maximise revenue collection and discourage illicit economy.

Capture consignment details, manage files/records and monitor the length of time goods remain in the SWH or Licensed facility.

Ensure compliance with all legislative formalities and calculate state warehouse rent in accordance to relevant legislation.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address space constraints and flow of goods in the state warehouse and licensed warehouses.

Drive own performance in order to achieve work outputs in line with required response time, quality and service delivery standards.

Integrate new knowledge attained through formal and informal learning opportunities in the execution of your job.

Adhere to specified polices, standards and procedures to prevent wastage on resources and report violations.

Education Experience:
Matric with minimum 4 years job related experience , logistics and inventory management and other relevant qualifications.
