Introduction
• Develop project targets such as overall costs and program requirements. This is linked to developing and managing the budget.
• Co-ordinate project activities between project team, users and other external parties
• Quality Control: ensure that the end result of the project is within required standards. Issue and review quality surveys from the clients and follow up on any issues raised in the survey such as complaints or any other items raised.
• Agree job programmes with Supervisors and monitor progress through weekly reports and meetings
• Compile reports to demonstrate progress against programme and budget
• Continuously update clients of the achievement of milestones on the project and also discuss milestones and progress continually.
• Select sub-contractors when required for the workload related to the project scope.
• Ensure training needs are identified and, in conjunction with the Human Resources department arrange for personnel to attend such courses as are necessary
• Minimise Costs
• Optimise Profit
• Avoid delays on projects
• Build Client Relations
• Aim for Zero Safety Incidents
Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of Construction Regulation
• Knowlegde of OHS Act Legal Liabilities
• Qualified Electrician would be advatages
• BSc Electrical Engineering / BTech Electrical Engineering or similar will be advantages
• Minimum 10 year’s experience
• Strong ability to manage the project life cycle
• Knowledge of Industry Clients
• Ability to read and comprehend all contract types, GCC, FIDIC etc
• Intermediate to advanced Computer Skills –
• Project Management skills
• Strong Knowledge of contract conditions
• Effective time management skills
• Communication organisational skills
• Build maintain successful client relationships
• Administrative skills (e.g. report writing)
• Dynamic self-starter who has a passion for working with numerical figures and statistical data
• Works extremely well under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Disciplined and ability to as take initiative
• Reliable, Honest and Trust worthy
