Introduction
The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) offers an Internship programme targeted at unemployed graduates in the field of Information Technology and other related fields. Applications are invited from interested graduates, who meet the minimum requirements as specified in the advert and are interested in joining SITA as their employer of choice. A stipend of R5000,00 per month will be paid to Interns (Ref no: YDP16/02/19).

Available Internship Opportunities
• Software Developers – Completed Software Engineering, Development, Systems Analysis Design. Java exposure (J2EE, JD, Netbeans), Integration SOA is required before applying (14 Posts in Gauteng Cape Town).
• System Support (Technical) – A Minimum of A+ and N+, or National diploma or degree in IT Support / System Engineering is required. CCNA will be an added benefit (10 Posts in Pretoria).
• Software Developers (E-government) – A Minimum of Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Information Technology/Software Development is required (3 Posts in Pretoria).
• Business Analyst (E-government) – A Minimum of Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Information Technology with Business Applications is required (3 Posts in Pretoria).
• Project Coordinator (E-government) – A Minimum of Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Project Management or Diploma in Office Administration is required (1 Post in Pretoria).
• Service Management Centre (Technical) – A Minimum of A+ and N+, or National diploma or degree in IT Support / Service Management is required (16 Posts in Pretoria).
• Technical Support (SAPS Crime Cluster) –A minimum of Diploma or National Diploma in Information Technology with the following subjects: Microsoft-SQL, C++, C# and or any network related administration or understanding thereof (2 Posts in Pretoria).
• Call Centre Coordinators – A Minimum of A+ and N+, or National diploma in IT / Service Desk training is required (4 Posts in Pretoria).
• Converged Communication – A Minimum of Degree/Diploma in IT and/or N+, and/or CCNA required (2 Posts in Pretoria).
• Internal Audit – A Minimum of B. Com (Accounting/Auditing/Internal Audit) or National Diploma ( in Accounting/Finance related discipline) required before applying (5 Posts in Pretoria).
• Software Developers–A Minimum of Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Information Technology/Software Development is required (3 Posts in Pretoria)
• System Support– A Minimum of A+ and N+, or National diploma or Degree in IT Support / System Engineering required. CCNA will be an added benefit. (3 Posts in Pretoria)
• LAN and Desktop – (Technical) –A Minimum of A+ and N+, or National Diploma or Degree in IT Support / Service Management is required (27 Posts in Durban, Richards Bay, Pietermaritzburg Newcastle)
• LAN and Desktop – (Technical) – Minimum A+ and N+, or National diploma or degree in IT Support / Service Management required (6 Posts in Nelspruit Middelburg)
• ICT Technicians – Minimum A+ and N+, or National diploma or degree in IT Support / Service Management required (3 Posts in Ditsong, Pretoria).
• Database Administrators – A minimum of Degree or Diploma in Information Technology. SQL will be as an added advantage (3 Posts in Ditsong, Pretoria)
Who is eligible to apply
Unemployed South African youth aged between 18 and 35 years with relevant Bachelor degrees, National Diploma in Information Technology and other identified fields as indicated above are eligible to apply. Applicants should not have participated in any of the above mentioned internship programme before. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
