The UWC Department of Industrial Psychology forms part of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences and is one of the leading developers of competent HR professionals and Industrial Psychologists in South Africa. In keeping with our vision, we are committed to providing quality teaching to both our undergraduate and postgraduate students in this discipline and to equip them with sought-after people management knowledge and skills. An exciting opportunity exists at a Senior Lecturer level in this growing Department.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for: undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing and assessment; course development; scientific research and publications in peer-reviewed journals; academic administration; community service; postgraduate thesis/dissertation and internship supervision.
Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirements for appointment are: A relevant doctoral degree in Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology with at least four (4) years lecturing experience (i.e. both undergraduate and postgraduate) at a formal tertiary institution; experience in supervising postgraduate students with their research projects and internships; proven research and publications record in peer-reviewed journals and papers delivered at subject-related conferences; and experience in academic administration.
The successful candidate must be a registered Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
