Job Duties/Responsibilities
Check the quality of baking ingredientsKnead, roll, cut, and shape doughPlace dough in pans, molds, or on sheetsSet oven temperaturesPlace and bake items in hot ovens or on grillsPrepare equipment for bakingMeasure and weigh flour and other ingredientsCombine measured ingredients in mixers or blendersObserve color and state of products being bakedApply glazes, icings, or other toppings
REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant tertiary education and diploma or higher in Culinary arts requiredMinimum 1-2 years working experience in a 4-5* Hotel.Strong back ground in pastry requiredMenu planning and costing skills are requiredStrong hygiene control and safety procedures in the kitchen experience is requiredA la carte experience is a major advantageAn innovative and creative candidate with a passion for pastry and the industry is essential
