About the Division
The Taxation Services practice of Deloitte in Southern Africa has a team of legal and financial tax experts throughout the region dedicated to providing professional and robust tax advice on all local and international tax matters.
The Southern African tax environment is complex and dynamic, which makes accurate and reliable professional advice on tax matters imperative. Our clients can rely on us to meet this need, and do so in a proactive manner. We provide expert advice to clients seeking to do business on the African continent.
About the Job
We are looking for the person who is best able to fulfill the following job requirements:
Key Performance Areas
• Managing and consulting to a portfolio of medium to large corporate clients.
• Winning business and growing the client base.
• Cross-selling Deloitte services (Tax and other Deloitte services).
• Extensive client liaison and engagement with related stakeholders (SARS/National Treasury/etc)
• Managing and developing our people.
About You
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications:
• BComm (Acc)+ BCompt Hons + CA (SA) is a requirement
• An MCom (Tax) or HDip (Tax)
You would need to have the following Experience and Technical Competencies:
• A self-starter with 4 to 6 years core consulting experience on Corporate Tax including operating successfully as a manager/senior manager for 2 to 4 years, in a large professional services environment.
• Proven ability to deal with clients in a positive and proactive manner.
• Winning business and business development experience, in order to expand client base.
• Experienced at managing and developing people
