Leading international manufacturer of large diesel engines and drive systems, seeks an experienced Key Account Manager at their offices in Johannesburg.
Job Summary:
To source, develop, promote and grow new business opportunities in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. To represent solution offerings for all power generator and mining applications, including new engine sales, power generator and mining power pack systems and after sales value added products (parts, rebuilds, maintenance solutions and contracts).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow new business opportunities
- Identify target markets and expand the network by growing business partnerships
- Assist in developing new and existing markets
- Create an initial platform of communication and customer engagement and support sales in pursuing the business opportunity
- Report and update sales systems
- Promote and support various company brands
- Supply input into monthly and yearly sales figures
Requirements:
- Relevant sales, technical or business management tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience, with established contacts in one or more of the following areas: Mining, Diesel Engine Manufacturing, Systems Integration, Powergen Generation
- Experience in Sub Saharan African markets would be a definite advantage, but not essential
- Specific experience in Mining, PowerGen or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Willing to travel into areas responsible for
- Experience in dealing with Government or Tier1/ Multi National/ Blue Chip companies
