OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
- Selling of IT and Soft Skills training
- Identifying and closing new business opportunities in the Business and Government Training markets, which involve one or a combination of the following elements of the Bytes People Solutions offering:
Computer Training
Technical IT Training
Soft Skills Training
Room Hire
- Achieving a market-related annual sales target
- Building and managing an individual pipeline of new business opportunities in a manner that will lead to the consistent achievement of monthly sales targets.
- Reporting on individual pipelines in an accurate and timely manner
- Staying abreast of changes to the Bytes Peoples Solutions offering to the market as well as relevant developments in the industry
- Customer relationship and account management
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
- Achieving / exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Identifying and making telephone contact with a sufficient number of new business opportunities to build an individual pipeline that will lead to the achievement of monthly sales targets
- Planning an approach to these customers that addresses their business requirements
- Building and administrating relevant sales and client contact information
- Secure new business opportunities that result from telephonic sales contact
- Processing external and internal documentation to validate customer booking
- Understanding the business drivers around the customer’s IT training requirements
- Creating a differentiated value proposition that addresses these business drivers
- Presenting the value and unique selling propositions and to the customers
- Turning customers into repeat customers
- Growing the revenue stream from these customers
- Building broader relationships in these customers
- Owning these customers
- Manage client payment requirements and BPS policies
- Responding to tenders

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experience in teaching or training in an IT or Soft Skills environment – preferable or advantageous
- One to three years’ experience in sales, accompanied by a proven track record of achievement against an individual sales target
- The ability to be persuasive telephonically and present a compelling reason for clients to do business with BPS
- Business Development/Sales experience in the IT training Industry or broader IT industry will be preferable
- An established network of contacts – preferable
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Listening and questioning skills to influence challenging situations
- Excellent computing skills are essential
- Resilient and tenacious in character
- Target driven
- Ability to cold canvas
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- Sales training – preferable
- Computer literate
- Proficient on MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
