About this role
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the management and maintenance of office buildings, equipment and services that support a suitable working environment for the employees of GIBB. They are involved in both strategic and day-to-day operations particularly in relation to the various GIBB premises.
Main Duties
Managerial and Administrative
- Supervision of the office administration staff
- Security and access control
- Managing of office fixed assets, excluding computers
- Office business plans (budges and actuals)
- Managing the lease equipment
- Archiving of documents
- Business continuity plan (Capex and Opex)
- Office safety, health, environment and quality
- Reception services
- Office support staff
- Risk and insurance related to offices
- Office budget management
- Contract Management
Facilities Management
- General Maintenance of the Facilities
- Office cleaning and hygiene
- Gardening, Landscaping and Office Plants
Space
- Space planning
- Space utilization
- Furniture layouts
- Ergonomics
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- Accredited with SAFMA
- Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office
