Murray Roberts Power and Engery Projects invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Bunkers Foreman (Main Frame) for Medupi Site reporting to the Construction Manager. The project entails the building of 6 x 780 MW Coal Fired Super Critical Boiler for the coal fired Medupi Power Station to be erected at the Medupi Site at Lephalale ,Limpopo, South Africa.

EXPERIENCE:

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

The appointed candid must have at least 10 years’ experience in the field of boiler making. Another advantage would be to have previous experience in this type of position and in quality control and welding.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Pre assemble and erection of coal bunkers

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee and be responsible to assist the supervisor in all erection activities on the Bunkers.

2. Control man hours allowed for erection, ensure all budgets are met or improved.

This includes updating construction schedules and assisting with drawing up of construction schedules.

3. Ensure high standards of safety and quality are adhered to.

4. Assist the Supervisor in running the site in a safe manner and within budget and on time.

5. Must be able to work unsupervised and lead a team.

6. Must report all deviations from the scope of work timeously in writing to the supervisor.
