National EHS Manager – ADT Security (Pty) Ltd. Group

Provides legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of Tyco. Ensures compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the country (ies) in which Tyco operates, as well as maintains positive relations with regulatory bodies. Represents the organization to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies. Provides resolution of business or technical issues by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action. Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.

Drive a culture of “Zero Harm to People and the Environment” across the region

Directs EHS personnel and liaises with business leaders to ensure understanding and compliance with Tyco EHS standards.

Implements strategic EHS initiatives and coordinates the necessary tactical resources to ensure successful implementation.

Analyzes data to identify issues and trends to develop innovative solutions to achieve EHS goals and objectives.

Develops and implements programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of Tyco EHS standards.


Minimum qualification and experience:
Provide top-level management support and provide general EHS advice problem solving assistance to internal business PL leaders, site based line level personnel, field managers supervisors.

Required to be proficient to develop, review, or implement company-wide and/or functionally specific policies, procedures and training programs.

Required to be proficient to draft and review site permits, hazard identification reports, compliance management system auditing, keep current on local regional EHS regulatory changes, and/or advise company regarding EHS risks.

May be required to travel to support other Tyco locations and to maintain EHS specific certifications training to ensure adequate knowledge of current EHS regulations.

Must have a relevant university degree and/or be licensed or certified in EHS subject matters.
