Based in South Africa, you will provide advanced technical pre-sales and project management support to achieve sales objectives in the sub-Sahara Africa region. Main focus areas will be technical sales such as interfaces and integration (SWIFTAlliance portfolio), technical consulting, training.
You will demonstrate the technical value of SWIFT products and services to customers and identify solutions to their requirements.
You will be the technical and product expert within the sales teams, and work in close collaboration with commercial and business managers. In this case, main focus will be to support the customers in the sub-Sahara Africa region.

Your responsibilities will be to:
Deliver technical pre-sales:
- Meet with the customer to identify their needs and requirements and to propose architecture/application solutions.
- Propose solutions to client needs, composed of all the SWIFT attributes, messaging, standards and interface software, thereby guaranteeing solution/product sale.
- Present SWIFT products and technology solutions at customer site and events, as well as resiliency and security advice. Perform product demonstrations. Demonstrate value of SWIFT technology solutions versus alternatives.
- Present SWIFT roadmaps at customer sites, working closely with sales.
- Produce and deliver high quality pre-sales presentations.
- Overcome objections of a technical nature.
- Maintain and develop advanced knowledge of SWIFT’s portfolio, architecture/design technologies, integration and industry trends.
- Being able to convert business process flows into a technical architecture
- Build and develop working relationships with customer technology management.
- Based on product and customer knowledge, help define commercialization strategies for interface products, and help to identify commercial opportunities (eg add-on license sales)
- From time to time, assist with technical responses to customer RFIs and RFPs.
Qualifications:
Education
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
Skills Expertise Required
- Knowledge of SWIFT product portfolio (Interfaces, Messaging) is a must
- Experience in a customer facing role
- Technical skills (background of development is a solid plus), interest and appetite to grow technical knowledge
- Autonomous and quality oriented
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English (and ability to speak French will be a strong advantage)
