Minimum Requirements…
B Degree in Industrial Psychology /HR development or appropriate 3 Year Diploma
5 years’ experience managing a Learning Development team within a large complex organisation
Firm understanding of the NQF and SAQA requirements
Knowledge of the Skills Development Act.
Knowledge of Discretionary and mandatory grant process.
Knowledge of an HR system
PSIRA Registration advantageous

Establish the enterprise wide learning development strategy that is in alignment with SBV’s strategic journey
To identify best practice in all aspects of the work of the Industry (internationally) and translate this into high quality development plans for the organisation.
Establish and implement of an enterprise wide Training Matrix, providing comprehensive feedback and recommendations to Senior Management
Responsible for internal strategic partnering and engagement with Senior management to ensure alignment between Learning Development and operational and or enterprise requirements
Responsible for external strategic partnering and engagement with legislative bodies and or training providers to create and manage beneficial relationships
Develop, maintain and expand of an e-learning platform, e-learning courses and e-resource library as part of the Learning Development offering
Identify and implement a suite of training courses which we can prioritise for marketing to external audiences in support of our strategic aim of ‘commercialisation’ submitting a proposal to the Head: Organisational Design and Development for approval
Craft and or Review of SLA’s and contracts with the various external providers / partners, providing recommendations and suggestions to the Head: Organisational Design and Development in order to expedite the approval process
Integral participant in the BBBEE management and planning for SBV
Implement governance frameworks for the Learning Development Department
Integral stakeholder as the Training SME for any merger / acquisition project
Conduct presentations to the Executive and Senior Management teams as and when required
Manage the training budget and SDL refunds
Support the Head: OD with regards to implementing and maintaining the Talent Management framework
Compile and submit, to the Head: Organisational Design and Development, all legislative reports on behalf of the group for example, ATR, WSP etc.
Manage grant submissions and reconciliations to ensure SBV receives the best benefit possible
Review and submit manual design, content and implementation for approval
In conjunction with the Head: OD, design and implement a centre of excellence per region for SBV
Responsible to manage all learnerships within SBV
Integral participant in the Culture initiative within SBV to ensure learning and development form a sustainable programme to support the initiative
Compile and submission of MIS / BI for the Learning Development department more specifically:
• Board Reporting
•Monthly reporting
•Legislative Reporting
•Employee Management according to all legislative and company policies and standards
