PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Managing the Information Management function and Service Delivery Managers in the South Africa Region. The position plays an important strategic, tactical and operational role in the AGA Business and AGA IMSS organization.

MINIMUM EMPLOYEE PROFILE (QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE COMPETENCIES)

A 3 year qualification in the Information Management field or equivalent

8-10 Years working experience with at least 5in Information Management of which 3 years at management level

Proven Project Management skills experience in an IT/IM environment

Excellent written and oral communication and report writing skills

Strong analytical integration skills

ERP systems

IT/IM System design, implementation and support

Demonstrated ability in business process optimization leverage of Information Technology

JOB PROFILE (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

Has good understanding of the business value chain to proactively advise on business improvement matters.

Understands and influences Business Strategy, Objectives and Goals. Is able to provide optimal advice and input to business decisions by having the relevant business knowledge and skills as these emerge in the global marketplace.

Recognises the potential for automation of the processes, alternative approaches to performing business activities, assess the costs and potential benefits of the new approaches considered.

Adopts a creative approach in initiating and generating actions and proposals.Is able to exploit current knowledge and resources to generate new ways of improving already successful practices by:

Tackling changes, issues and challenges in a proactive rather than reactive way

Thinking out-of-the-box

Collaborate closely with business leaders in strategic planning and share accountability with them for benefit realization.

Accountable for the IM services to the business.

Identify the key risks and opportunities related to Information Systems in the region and ensure that they are managed appropriately.

Provide the VP Finance, Supply Chain and IM with information with which to make strategic decisions regarding investment in capital and resources across SA Region.

Manage the SA Region Information System landscape and improvement program (scoping, design, implementation, support, value delivery and enhancements) while leveraging off the AGA IM Shared Services capabilities.

Co-ordinate Business Process Owner activities relating to SAR Information Systems to ensure the Information Systems delivers as per expectation (including the co-ordination of training and coaching of individuals).

Identify opportunities to optimize the Information Systems in the region with a focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency of the business processes.

Takes accountability for the IM Portfolio of investments for SA Region.

Takes accountability for enforcing IM Governance, Technology and Standards

Takes accountability of the IM operational and capital budgets (including IM corporate recoveries) for the SA Region

Ensure that there is sufficient coordination and communication within the Business and the rest of the IM organisation
