Intern Estate Agent – Randburg – Harcourts Real Estate (SA)

Harcourts Real Estate (SA) is searching for dynamic and ambitious interns to join our team in one of our 148 offices throughout South Africa.

The successful candidate needs to have great people skills, sales experience, live locally in the area they are applying to work in, driver’s licence and own transportation, and the ambition to succeed in a sales role. Please note that the first 3 – 6 months of your internship will be financially trying and you should be in the financial position to survive the first few months potentially without an income. However, once you start selling properties, your earning potential rises exponentially.

The role may include the following tasks:

• Communication: buyer/seller feedback, setting up viewing appointments, hit report mail-out, buyer matches
• Marketing: qualifying buyers, buyers private showing, email marketing, social media marketing, show house invitations, show house and open hour facilitation, flyer drops, prospecting, telephonic cold calling, past client contacts
• Administration: contract management, client document collection, after sales service (survey, gifts, testimonials, etc.)
• Data capturing of contacts, buyer information, inspections, promise report, show house information, capturing new listings, comparative market analysis, etc.

Requirements

• Matric
• Good written and spoken English, additional languages advantageous
• A keen interest in the real estate industry
• A high degree of commitment, integrity and adaptability
• Entrepreneurial way of thinking and working
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Service oriented and a team player
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Adobe (Computer Literate)
• Own laptop
• Driver’s licence and own transportation
• Applicants should be able to survive at least 3 months with no income

Advantageous

• A business-related vocational or academic qualification
• Sales experience, preferably in the property industry
