MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science; Information Technology or Computer Engineering
Microsoft Certification (MCSE, MCSA, VMware Certified Professional 5 – Data Centre Virtualisation, Certified SonicWALL Security Administrator or Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Minimum of 10 years ICT experience working in design and implementation of complex ICT projects
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
Extensive knowledge and experience supporting and troubleshooting VMware environment (VMware ESXi, VCentre Hyper-V, virtual desktops, VMware View) and the underlying networking application and stacks
In-depth experience with Citrix image builds, image updates, reverse imaging, image release process, and vDisk management;
Expert level competency in Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server, Windows Server Update Services, HP Data Protector, SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 and Voice over Internet Protocol systems;
In-depth knowledge of storage platforms (Network Attached Storage, Direct
Attached Storage, Internet Small Computer System Interface);
Experience with file systems; (New Technology File System, Universal Flash Storage, Network File System, Extended File System);
Experience with Local Area Network administration in a heterogeneous environment (Linux, Windows, VMware, Active Directory, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol);
Experience with SonicWALL firewalls, and secure web gateway technologies;
Strong understanding of application architectures;
Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes including capacity and change management;
Ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and clients;
Ability to work independently to research and complete complex tasks and projects;
Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, defence-in-depth and common security elements
