A vacancy exists within the Group Human Resources Department, for a Vice President: Talent and Leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or Industrial Psychology
  • A Master’s Degree or equivalent experience will be an advantage.
  • Registered psychometric or psychologist, with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5- 7 years’ experience in Human Resource development with a strong background in Leadership Development and Talent Management in a global organisation
  • Experience in strategic HR Business Partnering support plus strategic consulting and facilitation skills
  • Leading global teams across a matrix design to deliver global solutions
  • Global HR experience and project management.
  • Interaction with Executive Management

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Accountable for the design and implementation of leadership development strategies in line with the Group strategy
  • Direct the analysis, design, development and delivery of all learning and development initiatives and ensure that appropriate monitoring and evaluation takes place, enabled by Information Management.
  • Ensure that regional and business unit specific needs analysis is developed and complied with, to reflect an overall business unit and regional development budget
  • Ensure successful implementation of learning and development programmes by monitoring progress and respective training to retain key skills that are mission critical and add value to the organization
  • Ensure that all training is aligned to outcomes based learning in line with skills development.
  • Develops leadership competency models for AGA that will ensure availability of required skills and competencies to enable the implementation of a high performance culture within AGA
  • Conduct skills audits to determine leadership skills and competency gaps and analysis thereof, in conjunction with the Organisational Effectiveness team.
  • Develop measurements to ensure Return on Investment (ROI) is clearly reported on
  • Accountable for the design of a leadership development curriculum for all levels of leaders within AGA that address identified skills and competency gaps
  • Liaise with management and discuss learning requirements within all levels of the organisation to ensure ROI to the organisation
  • Manage talent reviews, and all follow-up actions, high potential identification and associated development actions, competency development, engagement and retention strategies in order to effectively build a talent pipeline within AGA.
  • Provide talent management consultancy and implementation services to line management and HR Business Partners to ensure the integration of best practice methods to relevant talent solutions
  • Ensure that the HR team is capacitated to deliver consistent leadership and talent management processes across AGA
  • Drive strategy and innovation.
  • Strengthen and enhance the current bench strength of talent.
  • Design and manage specific leadership development drives such as a Chairman’s Young Leadership Programme that will provide a fostering pipeline for emerging internal talent.
  • Manage senior talent sourcing and induction –as required (e.g. EVP, SVP and VP positions)
  • Manage and co-ordinate the CEO talent (in respect to Organograms, Talent Profiles, Maturity Graphs, Succession Charts, Retention etc.)
  • Develop and implement a framework for leadership on-boarding, to facilitate the transition of leadership between different levels.
  • Support the Group HR EVP to drive the HR Health of discipline including role profiles
  • Coordinate and implement a leadership 360 degree peer review process.

  • EVP: Group Human Resources

REMUNERATION:

A market-related package commensurate with the experience and track record of the candidate is offered.
